Rather than regurgitating commonly-known facts about Matsumoto's life, Jason digs into interviews and Q&A sessions with Matsumoto to talk about some of the connections between his real life and the works he created.
From there, Jason gives a broad and high-level overview of the themes and motifs seen throughout the Kimagure Orange Road anime, tying together the topics of Matsumoto's influences with the anime his manga produced.
